Important Individual Thinking
In this video, I want to talk to you about your most important individual thinking, if you want to succeed in your life, which will not only change your brain but will also change your mindset. I’m talking about having a positive mental attitude. But additionally, I’ll talk to you about the seven most important steps that you can practice for 21 days with this attitude because your positive mental attitude must be a constructive response to the stress you face every day when you go out to work. Your positive attitude is one in which you feel you have the ability to control your world and above all, control your life. Your positive mental attitude is like the chicken and the egg. If you succeed, you are positive. If you are positive, you will succeed. Which comes first doesn’t really matter. But we know that positive people are men and women who achieve much more than people who have negative mental attitudes. From now on, your job is to develop a positive mental attitude. Your job is to become completely positive and constructive with yourself, with your possibilities, with the world around you, and above all, with the people around you. And the way you do this is similar to how you develop your physical fitness. If you go to a gym, you exercise regularly for an hour and a half a day, and you do it every day for 30 days, and also, if you combine it with a proper diet, you will quickly see a difference in your physical condition. Now, of course, anyone knows that if you exercise consistently for 30 days, you will notice a physical difference. Well, it’s the same with your mental attitude. So, I’m going to ask you to do this for yourself, and I’m going to give you seven steps you can take, seven keys that have been proven to work. And what I’m going to ask you is to practice these seven steps for 21 days. The reason for this is that it takes 21 days to develop a new habit pattern of any kind. If you work on a pattern of habits and it
Continuing the Seven Steps
Practicing every day, you begin to develop new neural pathways in your brain that will make you think and act more optimistically. Automatically, you will wake up in the morning feeling better. You will be more positive towards the challenges you face during the day. You will be more optimistic in the face of adversity, and you will start to become a more confident and joyful person. When you do this, you will find that your whole life will open up around you like the sunlight on a bright morning.
These seven steps, if practiced all together, I assure you, what will happen to you will be incredible. And here is the first rule. And this rule applies to everything around you. Remember that everything you do counts. The biggest mistake you can make is thinking that only what you want to count. When you read a book, when you listen to motivational audio, when you go to a course, when you go to bed early or wake up early to work, it all counts. And all of that goes on the positive side of your future. But when you watch stupid TV or look at your phone, wasting time, hanging out, or fooling around, all of that counts too and goes on the negative side of your future.
Think about this every day. If what you’re doing is not moving you towards your goals, it’s probably moving you away from your goals. Nothing is neutral. Everything you’re doing is moving you towards the things you want to achieve in your life, towards the person you want to be, or the wealth you want to accumulate. Everything counts, and your job is to remember that everything we talk about counts. It affects you one way or another, and your job is to remember this as often as you can. In just 21 days, you will notice the difference, and you will be so amazed at yourself that you won’t believe it.
The first step is your positive internal dialogue, which means you must be optimistic with yourself. In psychology, it is said that 99% of your emotions and how you feel about yourself minute by minute are determined by the way you talk to yourself. This is called your inner dialogue. It is the stream of words, thoughts, and feelings that run through your day like a river through your mind. The sad reality is that if you don’t deliberately and consciously talk to yourself in a positive and constructive way, by default, you will think of things that will make you unhappy, that will cause you more worries and more anxiety. Remember, your mind is like a vacuum and it won’t stay empty because if you don’t fill it with positive thoughts, it will fill with negative thoughts, and you know exactly what I’m talking about. Your mind is like a garden. If you don’t deliberately plant flowers and care for them carefully, weeds will grow without any encouragement. If you have positive thoughts and can’t care for them well, negative thoughts will grow in your mental garden effortlessly. We also know that there is something in cognitive psychology called explanatory style. Explanatory style has to do with how you explain things to yourself. We’ve already explained in previous audios that successful people, positive people, are people who explain things to themselves in a positive way. They say, “That’s an interesting situation. That will work out well. Don’t worry about it. Everything will happen for a good reason,” and so on. Positive people are those who constantly take what’s happening and interpret it differently, applying it in different ways. Positive people turn things around. William Clement Stone, one of the wealthiest men in the world, said that one of the keys to his success was to look at every adversity that happened and immediately think about it for a while, then find something good in it. So the second part of your positive internal dialogue is to control your internal dialogue, and here is the key to positive internal dialogue, which is one of the most important parts of modern psychology: the use of affirmations. Affirmations are positive statements that you make to yourself and to your inner world, which you constantly repeat in your mind. The ones I repeat constantly in my mind are: I like myself. I can do it. I feel great. I am responsible. This is how superior people think most of the time. Affirmations are the key. With these affirmations, your potential as a person will be unlimited. The discovery and development of these affirmations as a science.
Continuing the Seven Steps (Cont’d)
has been one of the areas of greatest advancement in human potential. If I could give you a secret of success, it would be this: only talk about the things you want and refuse to talk about the things you don’t want. It’s continuously speaking in terms of what you want to happen. It’s interpreting things continuously in terms of how you want them to be. It’s continuously controlling your internal dialogue. So whenever you’re saying things to yourself and then to others, make them consistent with the person you want to be and the life you want to have. Remember that 95% of your feelings are determined by the way you talk to yourself. It’s absolutely essential that you talk to yourself in the way you want to be.
The second step is positive visualization. The most powerful ability you have is the ability to visualize and see your goals as already accomplished. Close your eyes and imagine your life as ideal in every way. And the way you do this is by creating a clear and exciting image of your ideal life. Play this image on the screen of your mind over and over again. The rule is that every improvement in your outer life begins with an improvement in your mental images because you completely control the images you play on the screen of your mind. As you see yourself inside, you will start to be that person with those achievements on the outside. If you see yourself and think of yourself as an extraordinary person, if you see yourself as successful, if you see yourself as happy, positive, confident, and in control, if you see yourself as a loving parent or spouse, you will act that way towards others. So every improvement in your life begins with an improvement in your mental images, with you consciously and deliberately selecting the images you will allow your mind to dwell on. The word “selecting” is very important when you dwell on an image because your subconscious mind, just like with affirmations, accepts the images as a command. You must work to bring that image into your reality. This is the most phenomenal thing because your subconscious mind controls your reticular activation system and also your reticular cortex, the activation system.
Understanding the Reticular Cortex
interesting. It’s a small part of your brain that controls all incoming impulses. If you start telling your brain that you intend to be successful in your work, that you’re going to reach the top, that you’re going to be one of the foremost people in what you do, and that you’re going to make a lot of money, whatever that may be, this is accepted as a command. The reticular cortex activates all your switches, and from there, you start to see all kinds of possibilities that help you move forward to achieve your goals.
I’ll tell you why successful people move so quickly towards achieving their goals. It’s very simple. It’s because they are constantly thinking about it. As a result of thinking about what they want, they see all kinds of opportunities around them to achieve what the average person doesn’t even see. Average people are so concerned about the little money they have and the amount of their bills. The more they think about those things, the more they get them.
Regarding positive visualization, see yourself as you desire, and what will happen is that your subconscious mind will say, “Well, this must be a command. This must be what it wants.” That’s how it works. Coordinate your words, actions, thoughts, activities, and emotions. Be consistent in achieving and bringing that mental image into your reality. If you ask successful people what they think about, you’ll find that successful people always have constructive, positive, and creative thoughts that help them be more successful. If you talk to negative people who aren’t doing much with their lives and ask them what they’re thinking about, they always have negative, hurtful, destructive, resentful, and worrying thoughts. The more they think about it and worry about it, the more they attract it into their lives. Be careful; your mind is very powerful.
The next action is that you must have positive mental food. Just as your body is healthy to the extent that you eat healthy and nutritious food, your mind is healthy to the extent that you feed it with mental proteins instead of mental sweets. Books, magazines, articles that are educational, inspiring, and motivating—feed your mind with information and ideas that encourage you, that make you feel happy and more confident. Listen to positive and constructive audios in your car or on your phone. Continuously feed your mind with positive messages that help you think and act better, that make you more capable and competent in your work. Watch educational programs, online courses, and videos like this with enriching material that increases your knowledge—things that make you feel good about yourself and your life. Every time you learn something new, you’ll feel like you can help improve your life because your brain releases endorphins, which are called the happiness drug in nature, and you’ll truly feel more.
Continuing the Seven Steps (Cont’d)
happy even before taking action on a new idea. You’ll feel happier to have learned a new idea initially. You know very well that you become what you eat, that your diet determines your physical health. The problem is that you simply don’t eat the things you should. Positive mental food is exactly the same. You’ll become what you think most of the time. In other words, your entire life, everything around you, has been determined by what you think most of the time. If you think about positive, constructive, success-oriented, and happy things, you’ll start to have more of those things in your life. Now, if you pay attention to fake news on the stupid television or in sports, you’re wasting your time. You already have plenty of that in your life. Remember, whatever you think most of the time displaces other things from your life. By becoming what you think, you regularly feed your mind. And this shouldn’t be something casual. You must feed your mind with a highly nutritious mental protein diet with words, images, quotes, magazines, audios, many books, and motivational videos.
Let me ask you a question. What do you think would happen if you read many horror books or many murder books? What do you think would happen if you read these books all the time? Do you think it would affect your mind? You can bet it would affect your mind. And what do successful people read? They read books that are positive, constructive, success-oriented, educational, and motivating. Your job is to ask yourself, will it help me in any way if I watch and read all these negative stories day after day? You’ll only get the idea that our whole society is falling apart. If you read negative stories and magazines, you’ll get the same. The things you feed your mind have a huge impact. Make sure what you’re listening to and what you’re seeing is consistently in line with what you want to achieve in your life.
The fourth action is to surround yourself with positive people. Your choice of the people you live and work with will have more impact on your emotions and your success than any other factor. From today, decide to associate with winners, with positive people, with people who are happy, optimistic, and going somewhere with their lives. Think about who your reference group is because it will determine your future and your success more than anything else. Your reference group must be winners. Associate with winners. Most of your thinking is determined by the people you regularly associate with. If you associate with people who don’t work hard, you’d better learn to socialize and make new friends after work because you become like them. You think like them, dress like them, and marry them. If you marry someone with little ambition, they’ll raise children who also have little ambition. They’ll only work and complain all the time about their jobs. But people who prepare themselves associate with other prepared people. That’s what you heard in previous parts about the law of attraction. I remind you that the law of attraction says, “like attracts like.” You’ll start to attract new people into your life if you’re determined to improve your future, starting with your personal development and personal growth. You’ll start to meet other people who think the same way you do, and the old groups of people you associated with disappear, and a new group of people appears.
The next action is to educate yourself with positive development. This is something I’m passionate about because almost everyone in our society starts with limited resources and sometimes no money. All the people you know who are at the top today were once at the bottom, and sometimes they fell to the bottom several times on their journey through life. The miracle of lifelong learning and personal improvement is what you need to move from poverty to wealth, from underperformance to success, and to your financial independence. Formal education will allow you to make a living, but self-education will make you a fortune. When you decide to learn, grow, and become better every day, you become more effective in your thoughts and actions, taking full control of your life, dramatically increasing the speed at which you ascend to greater heights. So finally, I’ll give you the keys to positive training and development. The first thing is to read one hour a day, with 30 to 60 minutes every day. This will make you a great authority in your field in a couple of years. The next thing is to listen to educational audios and videos in your car. Turn driving time into learning time. The average person spends hours a year in their car, and if you turn your driving time into learning time, you’ll become one of the most successful and highest-paid people in your surroundings. And lastly, you should take all the courses you can. Your future depends on your education, whether it’s professional training courses or seminars. Remember this: continuous learning is the key to your future. The only real skill you’ll have in the future when all knowledge and skills become obsolete is your ability to learn new things at a faster rate. So dedicate yourself to continuous and lifelong personal improvement. By doing this, the things you’ll achieve will be amazing.
The sixth action is a very important key because they are your positive health habits. Take care of your health and fitness. Prepare to live until you’re 80 or 100 years old. The way to do this is to eat healthy, nutritious foods, eat them in moderation, and with a proper balance. An excellent diet will have an immediate positive effect on your thoughts and feelings. Exercise regularly for at least 30 minutes a day. You can walk, run, swim, cycle, or exercise at the gym. When you exercise regularly, you feel happier and healthier. You’ll experience lower levels of stress and fatigue than a person who sits on the couch and watches television all night, especially in this busy world. Rest and relax enough. You need to recharge your batteries regularly, especially when you’re under periods of stress or difficulty. Fatigue makes cowards of us all. Some of the factors that predispose you to negative emotions of all kinds are bad health habits like fatigue, lack of exercise, and continuous work without rest. Seek balance in your life.
And the last action number seven that you can practice are your positive expectations. Having positive expectations is one of the most powerful techniques you can use to become a positive person and guarantee yourself better results. Your expectations become your own self-fulfilling prophecies. Everything you confidently expect will seem to come into your life effortlessly. You must control your expectations because you should always expect the best. Expect to be successful and expect to be popular. When you meet new people, be positive and always expect to achieve great goals in your life. And always, always expect to create a wonderful life for yourself and your family. Have confidence in yourself. Remember that success is learning all of this. It was done with a lot of effort. Leave us a comment. Don’t forget to subscribe, and please like if you enjoyed it. Thank you, and until next time.
